Housefull 5 Advance Booking Disappoints with Low Ticket Sales

The buzz around Housefull 5 is palpable, with fans eagerly waiting for its release on June 6. However, the film’s advance booking numbers are a different story. According to a recent report, the film’s one-day advance booking is a mere 1.64 crore rupees, with only 48,950 tickets sold for 8,689 shows across India. Including seats booked in advance, the total collection stands at 4.90 crore rupees.

These numbers are a far cry from what was expected, given the film’s big budget and star-studded cast, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Jacqueline Fernandez, among others. The film’s director, Tarun Mansukhani, has promised a laughter riot, but it seems the audience is yet to be convinced.

Despite being one of Bollywood’s most successful comedy franchises, with the first film releasing in 2010, Housefull 5’s advance booking numbers are a disappointment. Experts believe that the film’s marketing strategy may not have been effective in generating buzz among audiences. The film’s trailer, which was released recently, received a mixed response, which may have also contributed to the lukewarm advance booking numbers.

It remains to be seen how the film will perform at the box office once it releases. Will it be able to live up to its promise of entertainment and comedy, or will it fall short of expectations? Only time will tell. For now, the advance booking numbers are a cause for concern for the film’s makers.

What’s in the film?

Housefull 5 boasts an ensemble cast, with some of Bollywood’s biggest names coming together for a comedy extravaganza. The film is expected to be a laugh riot, with plenty of entertaining moments. However, the advance booking numbers suggest that the audience is not as excited as the film’s makers had anticipated.

A look at the cast

The film features Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangda Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Fardeen Khan, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Johnny Lever, and Chunky Pandey. With such a star-studded cast, the film is expected to be a visual treat. But will it be enough to draw audiences to the theaters?
