Honor is shaking things up in the mid-range smartphone market with the launch of its latest model, the X70i.
This new device boasts a stunning 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. The screen also features a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The phone’s rear camera is equipped with a high-resolution 108-megapixel sensor, complete with an f/1.75 aperture. It can record 1080p video at 30 frames per second. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel camera.
What Makes the Honor X70i Stand Out?
The X70i is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor, built using 6-nanometer technology. This chip comes with an 8-core CPU that can reach speeds of up to 2.5GHz. The phone runs on MagicOS 9.0, based on Android 15. The base model comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. You can also opt for 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB storage. The phone houses a large 6,000mAh battery that supports 35W charging. Other notable features include an under-display fingerprint reader, IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, and support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and GPS.
The device is sleek, measuring just 7.29mm in thickness and weighing 178.5 grams.
Colors and Pricing
The Honor X70i will be available in four colors: Magnolia Purple, Moon Shadow White, Velvet Black, and Sky Blue. In China, the phone will go on sale through Honor’s online store on April 30, 2025. The pricing is as follows:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: 1,399 CNY
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: 1,699 CNY
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage: 1,899 CNY
The X70i appears to be an upgraded version of the Honor 400 Lite, released globally in early April 2025. The 400 Lite had a 5,320mAh battery, a dual rear camera setup with 108+5 megapixels, a 16-megapixel front camera, and weighed 171 grams.
