The upcoming Honor Magic V5 just got benchmarked on Geekbench, revealing some key specs. This phone is expected to be the thinnest foldable on the market, measuring 8.93 mm, and will also be super lightweight.
Its Geekbench results, listed under the model number MHG-AN00, show a max processing speed of 4.47 GHz. This points to the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition chip, a top-of-the-line processor. This chip is actually an overclocked version of the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite, bumping the speed from 4.32 GHz to 4.47 GHz. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series also uses this chip.
Performance and specs
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition has also been used in the RedMagic 10S Pro+ and Honor GT Pro. The Magic V5’s benchmark results also mention at least 16 GB of RAM and Android 15 as the operating system.
The phone has been certified by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which reveals a large 6,100 mAh battery. This is one of the biggest batteries ever used in a foldable phone. For context, the upcoming vivo X Fold 5 will have a 6,000 mAh battery.
Other rumored specs include an 8-inch foldable screen and a 200-megapixel periscope camera.
The Magic V5 will face stiff competition from Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7, both of which will use the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. These Samsung phones are expected to be announced in July 2025.
