Honor Magic 5: top series with specifications and prices revealed

Despite its planned release in March 2023, the top Honor Magic 5 series has completely fallen apart.

Now it is known that the models will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and with prices starting at 700 euros.

Honor’s new Magic 5 series should only be officially presented in March 2023, but today the specifications of all its models were revealed, as well as the prices at which they will reach the market.

The new series has three terminals: Magic 5, Magic 5 Pro and Magic 5 Prestige Edition. All models come with a 6.8-inch LPTO OLED display that provides a dynamic refresh rate of between 1 and 120 Hz and up to 1,100 nits of brightness.

All models will run Magic UI 7.0, based on the Android 13 operating system, and all will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor at the controls with integrated LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 5.0 storage; capabilities are still unknown.

The base model will be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging, while the remaining models will have a 4,800mAh battery with 100W fast charging.

As for the optics, we highlight the Magic 5 Prestige Edition model, which will have the Sony IMX989 sensor as its main camera, one inch in size and 50 megapixels of resolution. This is exactly the same sensor as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

Of course, the prices will also be different. The Magic 5 reaches the Chinese market with a price that starts at 4,999 yuan, about 700 euros. The Magic 5 Pro will cost from 5,999 yuan, approximately 840 euros.

The Honor Magic 5 Prestige will be the most expensive priced at 7,999 yuan (€1,115) for a configuration of 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.
