Warner Bros. has scrapped plans for a paid expansion to Hogwarts Legacy, as well as a Director’s Cut version of the game.
This move is part of a larger restructuring effort within Warner Bros. Games.
The company reportedly axed the projects due to concerns that the planned content wouldn’t be worth the price tag.
Hogwarts Legacy’s DLC was supposed to be developed by Avalanche Software and Rocksteady.
It would have included new storylines and was set to release this year.
However, it’s unclear how much progress was made on the DLC before it was canceled.
Warner Bros. has been making some significant changes lately.
The company recently shut down Monolith Productions, canceling the Wonder Woman game in the process.
It also closed Player First Games after announcing the end of service for MultiVersus.
These moves suggest that Warner Bros. is going through a tough time.
