A bomb threat targeting the residence of Tamil actor Arun Vijay has put Chennai police on high alert. The threat was reportedly sent via an email to his home in the city’s Ekkattuthangal area.
City police and a bomb disposal squad quickly responded to the information. They arrived at the actor’s residence to conduct a thorough search.
Officials from the Ekkattuthangal police station confirmed teams were alerted after the DGP office received a suspicious email. The email warned of a bomb placed at Vijay’s Chennai home.
Authorities are now actively investigating the source and origin of the threatening email. The investigation aims to trace the sender.
Arun Vijay is a prominent actor known for his work primarily in Tamil cinema. His notable films include “Yennai Arindhaal” (2015), “Chekka Chivantha Vanam” (2018), and “Chakravyuha” (2016).
He is set to star in the upcoming film “Retta Thala.” Kris Thirukumaran will direct this project, with Bobby Balachandran and BTG Universal producing.
