HMD Global, the company known for its past work with Nokia, is now stepping out with its own brand. They’ve just unveiled the HMD Vibe 5G. This new phone aims to bring fast internet to everyone without breaking the bank. It marks a fresh start for Human Mobile Devices, or HMD for short.
The Vibe 5G features a large 6.67-inch LCD screen. It has a resolution of 720 by 1,604 pixels. The display refreshes 90 times per second, making scrolling feel smoother. For video calls and selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel camera on the front.
Inside, the phone uses a Unisoc T760 chip. This chip is built with 6-nanometer technology and can run at up to 2.2 GHz. It pairs with 4 gigabytes of LPDDR4x RAM and offers 128 gigabytes of storage. The Vibe 5G runs on Android 15. HMD promises two years of quarterly security updates, keeping the phone safe.
Around the back, you’ll find a 50-megapixel main camera. A 2-megapixel sensor helps with depth for better photos. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the side for quick unlocking. A big 5,000 mAh battery powers the device, and it supports 18-watt charging. You can grab the Vibe 5G in black or purple from HMD’s official online store. It sells for 8,999 Indian Rupees.
But HMD isn’t just focused on smartphones. They also unveiled two new feature phones: the HMD 101 and the HMD 102. These simpler phones still offer 4G connectivity. They share identical features, proving basic phones still have a place.
Both the 101 and 102 pack these shared specifications:

The HMD 101 is available in blue, red, and light blue, selling for 1,899 Indian Rupees. Its sibling, the HMD 102, comes in blue, red, and purple. This model costs 2,199 Indian Rupees.
