HMD Global has made a big move after stepping away from the Nokia brand. They just launched the HMD Fuse. This new smartphone puts kids first. It comes with a special feature called HarmBlock+. This tool helps keep kids safe from bad online content. It uses smart AI from SafeToNet, a UK company focused on online safety.
HarmBlock+ isn’t just an app. It’s built right into the phone’s system. This means it works with all apps on the device. The HMD Fuse gives parents full control over what their child sees. It stops kids from taking risky photos or looking at inappropriate things on the phone. Parents can also manage apps and what content is allowed. They can even track the phone in real time and see where it has been. Plus, parents can set up a list of approved contacts.
The HMD Fuse builds on the HMD Fusion, which came out in September 2024. It has a 6.56-inch screen. The display is HD+ and refreshes 90 times per second. It also gets pretty bright, up to 600 nits.
Inside, the phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip. This chip came out in 2023 and is built using 4nm tech. It can run as fast as 2.2 GHz. The phone also has 6 GB of RAM. For storage, it offers 128 GB of UFS 2.2 space.

When it comes to cameras, the HMD Fuse has a solid setup. The main camera is 108 megapixels. There’s also a 2-megapixel sensor to help with depth. For selfies and video calls, the front camera is 50 megapixels. This means clear pictures and good video chats.
The phone packs a 5,000 mAh battery. It supports fast charging at 33 watts. You’ll find a fingerprint sensor on the side for easy unlocking. The phone is also IP54 rated. This means it can handle dust and splashes of water. For connections, it has Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, and GPS. There’s even a 3.5mm headphone jack. HMD also includes two cases in the box: a Blue Casual one and a Blue Flashy one.

Right now, you can buy the HMD Fuse from Vodafone’s online store in the UK. It costs just 33 British Pounds. HMD plans to release it in Australia and other countries soon.
