HIT 3 and Retro Day 4 Box Office: South Films See Decline on Sunday

Nani’s ‘HIT: The Third Case’ and Surya’s ‘Retro’ have seen a dip in their box office collections on their fourth day. Both films were released on May 1, alongside Bollywood movies ‘Raid 2’ and ‘The Bhootnii’. While ‘Raid 2’ is performing well, ‘The Bhootnii’ has been a disappointment.

Weekend Boost Fails to Lift ‘HIT 3’

‘HIT 3’, starring Nani and Srinidhi Shetty, opened with a strong ₹21 crore on its first day. However, its second-day collection halved to ₹10.5 crore. The trend continued on the third day with ₹10.4 crore, and on the fourth day, it further dropped to ₹7.67 crore. The total collection now stands at ₹49.57 crore, shy of the ₹50 crore mark.

‘Retro’ Struggles at the Box Office

‘Retro’, featuring Surya, Pooja Hegde, and Prakash Raj, started with ₹19.25 crore on its opening day. The second day saw a significant drop to ₹7.75 crore, followed by ₹8 crore on the third day. On its fourth day, the collection was ₹6.96 crore, bringing the total to ₹41.96 crore. Both ‘HIT 3’ and ‘Retro’ failed to capitalize on the weekend boost, leading to a decline in their box office performance.
