Former President Hipólito Mejía highlighted the contributions of agricultural businessman Manuel Castillo Pimentel to national production, mainly in the avocado sector, one of the main fruits produced in the Dominican Republic.

Mejía stated that Castillo is one of the pioneers in the cultivation of this product, promoting the strengthening and expansion of this line throughout the national territory, for which he deserves the recognition of Dominican society.

By participating in the “Revista 110” program, the ex-president maintained that the agro-entrepreneur has become the largest producer of food, contributing to the generation of jobs and the economic dynamism of the country.
