Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated following a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where militants targeted tourists. India responded with ‘Operation Sindoor’, striking terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) using missiles. Since then, Pakistan has been sending drones into Indian border areas, which India’s defense systems have intercepted and destroyed.
Hina Khan Speaks Out
Actress Hina Khan took to social media to share her thoughts on the escalating situation. In an Instagram story post, she wrote, “No one wins in war. No one. Innocent people on both sides lose their lives. Let’s pray for the soldiers on the frontline.” She further emphasized, “We didn’t want war before Pahalgam, and we still don’t, but our people were killed. Our response was crucial and precise.”
A Call for Peace
Hina Khan also expressed her desire for de-escalation, stating, “We don’t promote violence, and I know we all ultimately want peace. As much as I stand with my country in eradicating terrorism, I also wish for and pray for de-escalation.” As a native of the Kashmir Valley, born in Srinagar, Hina Khan has been vocal on social media regarding the Pahalgam terrorist attack and subsequent events.
Hina Khan gained fame with her role as Akshara in the TV show ‘Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. Currently, she is battling breast cancer and undergoing treatment. In her personal life, she is in a relationship with Rocky Jaiswal.
