Both films performed reasonably well on their first day, meeting expectations. ‘Lovayapa’ earned Rs 1.15 crore on Friday, while ‘Badass Ravikumar’ surprised everyone by earning more than Rs 2.75 crore. The trend of Ravikumar on social media was believed to have contributed to Himesh’s film’s success, making his character a staple in ‘pop culture’. However, the question remained whether this momentum would continue on Saturday.
Comparing Saturday’s Performance
After a strong opening on Friday, it was anticipated that ‘Badass Ravikumar’ would see continued success on Saturday. However, this did not materialize, with the film collecting just Rs 2 crore on its second day, according to Caiknilk. This brought the total earnings to Rs 4.75 crore. In comparison to Himesh’s previous films like ‘Aap Ka Surur’, ‘Karo’, ‘The Expos’, which had lifetime collections around Rs 10 crore, ‘Badass Ravikumar’ might become the biggest hit of his career, having earned around 5 crores in just two days.
On the other hand, ‘Loveyapa’ showed a slight improvement in earnings on its second day. The film, which earned Rs 1.15 crore on its first day, collected Rs 1.50 crore on Saturday, making its total collection Rs 2.65 crore. Despite positive reviews, the initial earnings did not reflect the film’s potential, but the increase on the second day indicates growing interest. Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor actively promoted the film, aiming to reach a wide audience, and it seems their efforts are paying off. ‘Loveyapa’, a remake of the Tamil film ‘Love Today’, has resonated with viewers, and its performance on Sunday will be crucial in determining its overall success.
