Hideo Kojima has been busy working on multiple projects at Kojima Productions, including the upcoming game OD, a horror title in collaboration with Jordan Peele, and Physint (working title), an action-espionage game with Columbia Pictures.
What’s Next for Death Stranding?
During a Q&A session at a Death Stranding 2: On the Beach preview event, Kojima revealed he already has concepts for Death Stranding 3. One idea is to introduce a “Plate Gate” system, allowing Sam to travel across continents. This could potentially create an endless series of sequels. However, Kojima plans to hand over the project to someone else if it’s ever made. He said that if he used the “Plate Gate” concept, he could keep creating sequels indefinitely. However, he doesn’t plan to make Death Stranding 3 himself.
Kojima’s comments suggest he’s focusing on other projects at Kojima Productions. The studio is currently developing several games simultaneously.
