Even the biggest names in home renovation can’t escape network changes. Drew and Jonathan Scott, the famous Property Brothers, are seeing shifts in their HGTV schedule. These changes come amid a wave of recent program adjustments at the network.
Fans first noticed something was up earlier this week. An HGTV Instagram story announced a delay for the Scotts’ new show, Chasing the West. It was supposed to premiere on July 10. Now, it’s pushed back a few weeks to July 30. This news came from TV Insider.
On top of that, an updated press release shared more news. The second season of Don’t Hate Your House With the Property Brothers is also on hold. It was set for July 30. Now, it will air "later this year." While their hit series, Celebrity IOU, aired as planned on July 9, these changes have made fans wonder. The Scott brothers, both 47, have three more shows expected on HGTV.
Neither Drew nor Jonathan has spoken about these schedule changes. This reshuffling happens as HGTV faces criticism. The network recently cut five other shows. These include Battle on the Beach, Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Bargain Block, and Izzy Does It.
But it’s not all bad news for viewers. HGTV’s website posted a new page on July 10. It highlights shows looking for new participants. There are 11 programs listed. This suggests these shows will return with fresh seasons. The list features a new Property Brothers show. It also includes a new season of Christina on the Coast. Fans can also look forward to a third season of Down Home Fab With Chelsea and Cole DeBoer. Plus, more seasons of My Lottery Dream Home and House Hunters are planned.

In other network news, Bobby Berk is getting his own show. Berk, 43, known from Queer Eye, will host Junk or Jackpot? later this year. The series is produced by John Cena. It will feature six episodes. Berk will help homeowners decide. They’ll either keep their special collections, like superhero figures or rare dolls, or sell them. The money from sales will fund updates for their older homes.
There’s also an update on Rehab Addict. The show was suddenly pulled from the air. Host Nicole Curtis stepped in to clear things up. She explained that pausing her program was her own decision. This led to new shows airing in its place for now.
Curtis, 48, posted on Instagram on July 8. She wrote that she chose to save the rest of their new episodes for the fall. She thanked fans for their support. She noted that putting a show on air takes a lot of her time. Her family and she decided not to give up their summer.
The latest season of Rehab Addict started on June 24. After just two episodes, My Lottery Dream Home took its spot. Curtis added that she’s very happy with her decision. She spent the day without her phone, not worrying. She also shared a fun fact about David Bromstad, the host of My Lottery Dream Home. Bromstad was her beach buddy when she was pregnant. They filmed and lived next to each other for Beach Flip. So, she asked fans not to spread rumors he replaced her. She chose him to fill in.
