At the end of 2021, Xiaomi revealed its top-of-the-range series and now news is beginning to emerge that another model of this series is on the way.
According to a recently detected certification, the Xiaomi 12 Lite is arriving and will be launched in the Chinese market, but also globally.
Xiaomi 12 Lite on the way to its global launch
In December, more specifically on the 28th, the Chinese brand presented its new MIUI 13 interface and its long-awaited top-of-the-range Xiaomi 12 series. Or rather, it unveiled the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X models. But it seems that the Chinese brand has one more model to unveil in its top line.
And second, the information now revealed, the model will be the Xiaomi 12 Lite. The information is advanced by the Xiaomiui.net website, which has detected a terminal with the number 2203129G on the EEC certification website and which will be the 12 Lite model.
In keeping with tradition, the Xiaomi 12 Lite should have a light and slim design, just like its predecessors in other Xiaomi series. This smartphone is also expected to come equipped with a mid-range processor, as it targets precisely this segment in the mobile area. Take the example of the Xiaomi 11 Lite which is equipped with the Snapdragon 780G processor.
For this same reason, this Lite model is expected to have one of the most affordable prices of the Xiaomi 12 series, despite the fact that none of the cited sources present predicted values.
Expected specifications on Xiaomi 12 Lite and Xiaomi 12 Zoom
This is not the first time that the 12 Lite model has appeared on the web world, last year there were several news about the MIUI code that exposed two models of the series with the code names Zijin and Taoyao. The first refers to the Zoom model, with a release planned only for the Chinese market, and the second will then be the 12 Lite that will be available globally, as well as in China.
Also according to information from that time, both smartphones will be equipped with the Snapdragon 778G processor and with screens with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Both will also have a fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen and the optics will have different specifications. Apparently, the Zoom model, which will only be marketed in China, will have a telephoto sensor while the Lite will be equipped with a macro sensor.
