Hera Pheri 3: Director Priyadarshan on Paresh Rawal’s Fears, External Pressure

The buzz around “Hera Pheri 3” had fans on the edge of their seats, but not just from excitement. A few months back, a major stir rocked the upcoming film. It all stemmed from Paresh Rawal, the beloved actor known as Baburao. He actually thought about stepping away from the project. Luckily, everything smoothed over. Now, director Priyadarshan is finally sharing his side of the story.

The “Hera Pheri” franchise is a huge hit in Bollywood. People are really looking forward to the third movie. That’s why the news of Paresh Rawal considering leaving hit hard. He had already spoken out about the situation. Now, Priyadarshan, the filmmaker, has offered his insights. He spoke with Pinkvilla recently about what really happened behind the scenes.

No Problems Between Us

Priyadarshan explained that he and Paresh Rawal never had any issues. He also believed Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal were on good terms. “There were some other people,” he said, “who put pressure on Paresh.” The director described Paresh Rawal as someone who gets very worried about health concerns, even when the real problem is something else. “That’s why he was afraid,” Priyadarshan added, “but it didn’t affect our friendship.”

Trouble Stirred by Others

Priyadarshan recalled a conversation with Akshay Kumar. “Akshay told me, ‘Prince sir, if this happens, let it happen. Otherwise, let’s just leave it.'” That was the extent of it from their side. The director pointed out that some individuals caused difficulties. He chose not to speak about them, calling it “useless.” Priyadarshan wished for good things to happen in life. He also shared a wider thought on filmmaking, saying, “This is filmmaking. In this world, you have enemies, friends, fans, critics, a lot happens. I still don’t know how I’ve managed to spend 40 years in it.”
