The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ drive is now in its fourth year. It began as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations. This campaign has grown into a widespread movement involving people from all walks of life.
According to the Ministry of Culture, around five hundred thousand volunteers signed up this year. They registered to proudly display the national flag at their homes. This special event is set to happen from August 13 to August 15.
Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, officially kicked off the campaign earlier this week. He described it as much more than just an event; he called it an emotional movement. The minister explained its main purpose is to spark patriotic feelings among citizens. It also aims to boost civic pride and make people more aware of the national flag’s true significance.
