Heinrich Klaasen Hits Fastest Ton in IPL History for Sunrisers Hyderabad

Heinrich Klaasen left everyone stunned with his blistering century against Kolkata Knight Riders. The Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman reached the milestone in just 37 balls. This feat makes Klaasen the fastest player to score a century for SRH.

Klaasen’s century is the third-fastest in IPL history. Only two players have achieved this feat faster – Chris Gayle and Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Gayle holds the record for the fastest century in IPL, scoring 100 in 30 balls for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Pune Warriors in 2013.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi etched his name in the record books this season, scoring a century in 35 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans. Now, Klaasen has joined the list, making his mark with a 37-ball century against KKR.

Record Breakers

Here’s a list of the top three fastest centuries in IPL history:

  • Chris Gayle – 30 balls (RCB vs PW, 2013)
  • Vaibhav Suryavanshi – 35 balls (RR vs GT, 2025)
  • Heinrich Klaasen – 37 balls (SRH vs KKR, 2025)

The Indian Premier League tweeted about Klaasen’s impressive performance:

Klaasen’s century helped Sunrisers Hyderabad set the third-highest total in IPL history. SRH scored 278/3 against KKR, with their top two highest scores also being recorded this season. They scored 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2024 and 286/5 against Rajasthan Royals earlier this season.
