Heidi Klum Transforms into Terrifying Medusa for 2025 Halloween Party

Heidi Klum has once again solidified her title as the undisputed queen of terrifying Halloween costumes. The 52-year-old model unveiled her highly anticipated 2025 Halloween costume at her annual party in New York on Friday, October 31. She transformed into Medusa, the mythological creature known for her serpentine hair and gaze that turns people to stone.

Her costume featured intricate, frightening details that covered her entire body. Klum even sported a tail as part of the elaborate ensemble. The America’s Got Talent judge made her look even more realistic with extensive prosthetics. This included individually twisting and moving snakes on her head, replacing her hair. She completed the look with a bow and arrow accessory.

Klum’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, 36, joined in the thematic celebration. He wore a complementary costume, appearing as a Greek soldier turned to stone by Medusa’s stare. Kaulitz was covered head-to-toe in gray, perfectly embodying the petrified victim.

Speaking with E! News at her party, Klum elaborated on the costume’s extensive preparation. She revealed that it took a grueling 10 hours to get ready for the event.

“Everything is hand-painted,” Klum told the outlet. “Around 15 people have been working on this, and I think they did a fantastic job.”

She added, “I’ve been thinking about Medusa for quite some time because over the years, obviously, I’ve seen many Medusas. I thought, ‘You know, one day I’m going to try to do mine.’ I really wanted to have moving snakes, a super ugly face, very scary, really ugly teeth, and be like a very long rattlesnake.”

Klum had previously hinted at her costume during an interview with Good Morning America. She told the publication on Wednesday, October 29, “I’m already ready. But if I had to give you a hint, I’ll tell you I’m going to be very ugly. Very scary! But very ugly.”

She also mentioned to Entertainment Tonight that her teeth were “pretty scary.” Klum held up an enlarged photo of her mouth to emphasize the point. “They’re so sharp. I have to make sure I don’t touch them with my tongue. Like chicken skewers.”

Joking about the practicalities, Klum quipped, “I hope I can kiss with this.” When asked how ugly her costume would be, she responded, “On a scale of one to ten, it’s going to be an eleven.” She noted the extensive prosthetics, paint, and spray involved. Klum also anticipated getting "a lot of hives and pimples" afterward. Despite the potential irritation, she affirmed it was "worth it" to dress up.

“I know people all over the world are watching, and I love it so much,” Klum stated. “I know I have many Halloween fans, and I never want to disappoint them.”

Klum offered her fans a sneak peek of her 2025 costume on Instagram on Friday as she began her transformation. The model zoomed in on her face, which was painted orange with green undertones. Her eyebrows were covered, and she wore a bald cap.

“#heidihalloween 👻🕷️💚,” she captioned the post. Fans quickly began speculating in the comments. One user asked, “Grinch 👀?” Another wondered if she would be “a labubuuuu?” Other guesses included “Grinch, Gremlin, or Slimer.”

Celebrity friends also joined the fun. Winnie Harlow humorously wrote, “The queen of Halloween is coming 😍🔥🔥.” Klum also shared a video of Kaulitz during his preparation. He too was seen getting a bald cap applied. She smiled and blew a kiss to the camera before concluding the video.

Last year, Klum’s costume was a peacock. She wore a blue bodysuit with prosthetics that mimicked the bird’s face. To enhance the dramatic effect, she posed on the red carpet with dancers who acted as her plumes. Her most iconic past costumes include Fiona from Shrek, a worm, and E.T.
