Heat reigns in Australia, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees

Australia’s heatwave continues, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius in many cities.

Australia’s emergency service has issued a warning that the water level in rivers is rising, the risk of flooding in southern Australia has increased, due to which 18,000 homes have been evacuated.

According to Australian authorities, the southeast part of the country is in the grip of a heat wave, with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees in some parts of Victoria.

The hottest day of the year was recorded in Melbourne where the temperature reached 37.2 degrees, Adelaide recorded 39.6 degrees.

Australian authorities have issued heat wave warnings for South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales.
