president Luis Lacalle Pou He replied this Monday to the vice president of VenezuelaDelcy Rodríguez, who had treated him as a “lackey” and asked him to devote himself to Uruguayan issues after expressing his opinion on the political situation in the Caribbean country.
“He has the face of a lackey, he leans forward and wags his tail when his northern masters give him orders. Can anyone deny that he is Lacalle Pou? It would be better for him to take care of the problems of the people of Uruguay, instead of interfering in the affairs of Venezuela,” Rodríguez expressed on the social network X.
Lacalle Pou said on Monday evening in Artigas: “When there is a lack of arguments, we resort to complaints. Since they are so interested in what we have said, it would be necessary to justify a regime like the one for which they have carried it out for a long time, trapped politicians, elections that are opaque. We should think about whether we want a full democracy or not. They shouldn’t be surprised if they’re the ones making this kind of response.”
