The highly anticipated anime film “HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! The MOVIE: The Silent Miku” has hit theaters. This film is an adaptation of the popular mobile game “HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE!” which has been downloaded over 39 million times worldwide.
SEGA, the game’s developer, has shared more details about the movie. The story takes place in Shibuya, Tokyo’s music hub, and explores the mysterious “Sekai,” a world that reflects people’s true feelings. The virtual singer Hatsune Miku helps young people discover their genuine emotions and sing in their own unique way.
A New Storyline
The movie is an original anime produced by P.A.WORKS studio. It introduces a new Hatsune Miku character who interacts with six different bands from the game. The film promises to deliver breathtaking musical performances.

The Plot Unfolds
The story begins with Hoshino Ichika hearing an unfamiliar song by Miku at a CD store. She meets a Miku she’s never seen before on a screen and says “Miku?” out loud. Miku is startled but makes eye contact with Ichika before vanishing.
Later, after Ichika performs on the street, she sees Miku again on her smartphone. Miku tells Ichika about her desire to convey her song to certain people, but she’s unable to do so. Ichika, who has successfully reached many people through her performances, agrees to help Miku.
The movie, distributed by Medialink Entertainment Limited, is 111 minutes long and features Japanese audio with Thai and English subtitles.
