Harshvardhan Rane Pleads Fans: Stop Comparing Me to Varun, Ayushmann, Ahaan

Actor Harshvardhan Rane has publicly appealed to fans to halt comparisons between him and other prominent actors. The comparisons intensified following the release of his latest film, ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’.

Rane’s performances in the romantic drama have drawn significant attention. Social media users began debating his portrayal against Ahaan Panday’s role as Krish in ‘Saiyaara’.

More recently, fans started comparing Rane to established stars Varun Dhawan and Ayushmann Khurrana. Both Dhawan and Khurrana are part of the film ‘Thama’, which premiered alongside ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’.

Rane addressed these comparisons on his Instagram Stories. He shared a fan post that lauded his performance above Dhawan’s and Khurrana’s.

In response, Rane wrote, “Friends, I beg you to please stop. I love Varun and Ayushmann. All this is getting me into unnecessary controversies.” He pleaded with fans to cease these comparisons, indicating he wants to avoid unwarranted disputes.

He also made a similar appeal regarding comparisons to Ahaan Panday. Rane shared another fan post praising his role over Panday’s in ‘Saiyaara’.

Accompanying this, he included a folded hands emoji, urging fans to refrain from such debates.

Milap Zaveri directed ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’. The film also features Sonam Bajwa, Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, Anant Narayan, and Rajesh Khera in key roles.

While the film received mixed reviews from critics, Rane’s acting has garnered positive feedback.

Ahaan Panday’s film ‘Saiyaara’, co-starring Aneet Padda, was a surprise box office success. It earned approximately $68.3 million USD globally, making it one of the highest-grossing romantic films in Indian cinema history.
