Harry Potter: Wizards Unite game ends January 31, 2022

Niantic, creator of the hit Pokémon Go, communicated at that will end its Harry Potter: Wizards Unite augmented reality game on January 31, 2022.

The game will be removed from the App Store, Google Play and Galaxy Store on December 6th, and that same day you will no longer be able to make in-game purchases. The game’s community forum and social media channels will close on January 31st.

Niantic did not specify why it decided to close Harry Potter: Wizard’s Unite, but it is clear that the game has never reached the same level of popularity as Pokémon Go, which is still very popular after five years.

No refunds will be made for purchases made (except those required by law), but it will be possible to spend the gold and use items you own before the game end date, January 31, 2022.

Niantic says he will propose “A lot of fun changes for the next few months” so that you have time to enjoy what gold you have left.

Niantic continues to insist on augmented reality games, as it has just released the Pikmin Bloom augmented reality game, centered on Pikmin, and is preparing a Transformers augmented reality game.
