GT vs CSK Qualifier 1
IPL 2023: In the first qualifier of IPL 2023, Chennai Super Kings team is facing Gujarat Titans. In this match, Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first. At the same time before the game, at the draw, Hardik reported a big change in his team. Hardik fielded a player to play in the playoffs who had yet to land this season.

Hardik Pandya included the young pacemaker Darshan Nalkande in the 11th game for the qualifiers against CSK. Nalkande is a Maharashtra-born right-arm fast bowler who plays for Vidarbha in domestic cricket. He has played some matches in IPL but this is his first match in the current season. Nalkande made his IPL debut for Gujarat in 2022 and played two matches for them last year. His first match was against Punjab Kings and he took 2 wickets in his IPL debut. He then played a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad where he did not take a single wicket.
Yash Dayal was expelled
Mahendra Singh Dhoni dropped Yash Dayal from the Gujarat eleven. Yash is the same bowler whose Rinku Singh hit 5 sixes in a single. After this, Yash was not allowed into the team for a month. However, he was brought back to the team for a few games. But once again, Yash fell in the qualifying match.
