James Harden had 29 points and a season-high 15 rebounds, while Joel Embiid had 27 points and 10 rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers blew out the Los Angeles Clippers 122-97 on Friday night.
Harden was acquired from the Brooklyn Nets in a colossal trade on February 10. Since then, it hadn’t happened since that he and Embiid, the two Philadelphia stars, had a double-double in the same game.
In the first and second quarters, Harden was impressive, with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Never before in his 12-year career had he put up such numbers in half a game.
Harden and LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers are the only players in the league to post a double-double in a half with at least 25 points.
It’s the 38th double-double for Harden, who is tied for seventh in the league.
