Harassment scandal: New York governor resigns

According to a report by a foreign news agency, the governor of the US state of New York, Andrew Cuomo, has resigned, he was accused of harassing several women.

US President Joe Biden also advised the New York governor to resign.

The governor was accused of harassment by several women, after which a commission was created to investigate the complaints.

Yesterday, New York Attorney General Laetitia James released an investigative report on harassment of women by the governor.

Following the investigation report, several deputies had also demanded the governor’s resignation. The president of the state assembly had also asked Andrew Como to resign immediately.

The governor’s investigation into the harassment of women continued for five months, during which time it was revealed that the 63-year-old governor harassed 11 women, most of the 11 women who were harassed by the governor were government employees.

It should be noted that Andrew Como belongs to the Democratic Party and has been governor of the state since 2011.
