“The State of Qatar announces that, as part of the ongoing mediation, an agreement has been reached to extend the humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for two more days,” wrote Majed al Ansari, spokesman for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on your X account (formerly Twitter).
For her part, Diaa Rashwan, head of the Egyptian State Information Service (SIS), stated that the extension of the ceasefire would include the release of 20 Israeli and 60 Palestinian hostages from Israeli prisons.
Although Tel Aviv has not yet confirmed the extension, Hamas has already done so, adding that the same ceasefire conditions as from the beginning will be maintained: the release of 10 hostages per day.
