Hachimi returns with victory and targets Molina

Amin Hachimi (10-0-0, 7 KO) returns to the ring with a great KO. The Spanish welterweight champion, who had not competed since he took the belt 15 months ago, knocked out Venezuelan Anderson Rangel (6-22-2, 4 KO) in the fourth round with a hook to the body to take the victory on his return at the Roller Center in Madrid. He has his sights set on a title defense against Samuel Molina (25-3-0, 11 KOs).

Hachimi was proclaimed welterweight champion of Spain in April 2022 by defeating Aaron Alhambra (11-2-0, 3 KO) by unanimous decision at the Fernando Martin Sports Center, Fuenlabrada, in a highly disputed lawsuit. He hadn’t been back in the ring since then, but last night he made his big comeback in a big way. The man from Madrid was going to face the Panamanian Azael Cosio (21-11-2, 18 KO), but the same morning of the fight they announced that he would not fight, so they replaced him with the Venezuelan Anderson Rangel.

The champion of Spain came out to dominate. He was quick with the center of the ring and scored with the jab. He was offensive, throwing punches to Rangel’s body and face. In the second round, he reasserted his superiority. He landed a good left and a right hook that hurt the Venezuelan. He caught him with another right hand in the next round. He had control and the rhythm of the fight, without allowing Rangel to arrive with any of his blows. The fourth round was the final one. He put the Venezuelan against the ropes on several occasions, pressing and nailing his hands. He arrived with a hook to the body that sent him and did not get up again.

A great challenge appears at Hachimi’s door: a title defense against Samuel Molina. The man from Malaga, former Spanish lightweight and super lightweight champion, presented his candidacy to fight for Amin’s belt, and the Royal Spanish Boxing Federation named him an official contender. “It’s a very good fight, I think people would like it. It only remains for the teams to speak and see when it will be. I think that the negotiations have not started yet, but come on, if they have not already done so, they have little left”, the champion revealed about the future clash.
