Gwyneth Paltrow recently admitted she was completely unaware of co-star Timothée Chalamet’s high-profile relationship with Kylie Jenner. The revelation came during a Wednesday, October 15 interview with British Vogue.
Paltrow, 53, recounted meeting Chalamet, 29, at a costume fitting for their upcoming film, ‘Marty Supreme’. She inquired about his personal life to get to know him.
“Everyone makes fun of me because I don’t know anything,” Paltrow stated, explaining her surprise. She directly asked Chalamet if he had a girlfriend.
When Chalamet confirmed he did and mentioned his girlfriend had children, Paltrow expressed admiration. “How cool. I love hearing that from a young man like you,” she recalled saying.
Paltrow noted her respect for his choice to date a woman with children, calling it “a bit punk rock.” She then added, “But what I mean is, I didn’t know it was Kylie Jenner…”

Chalamet and Jenner began dating in April 2023 and have since maintained a steady relationship.
They made their red carpet debut together on May 7 at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome. Jenner wore a striking black gown, complementing Chalamet’s elegant black suit.
A source told Us Weekly that Jenner was “very happy and relieved” about the public debut, viewing it as a “big step” in their increasingly serious relationship.
Jenner also publicly acknowledged their romance by following Chalamet on Instagram in July. He remains one of the few accounts she follows.
Another Us Weekly source commented on their strong bond, noting that Chalamet makes Jenner “feel calm and secure,” differentiating it from her past relationships.
Chalamet’s mother, Nicole Flender, has also approved of Jenner. She told Curbed in April, “I have to say, she’s lovely. She’s very kind to me.”
Jenner has shown consistent support for Chalamet. She attended the ‘Marty Supreme’ premiere in New York City on October 7 during the New York Film Festival.
She also accompanied him to major award galas, including the Golden Globes and the Oscars, following his nominations for the 2024 Bob Dylan biopic, ‘A Complete Unknown’.
Most recently, Jenner sported a ‘Marty Supreme’ bomber jacket to a New York Yankees game on October 8, further promoting his latest project.
‘Marty Supreme’ is set to be released by A24 in cinemas on December 25.
