Two men on a motorcycle opened fire on a house in Montevideo’s Plácido Ellauri neighborhood today. The attack happened just after noon. Six 9mm shell casings were found on the dirt street outside. A wall and a column were hit by bullets. Police said the attackers told someone at the scene, “We’re here for your son.” No one was injured. Forensic police are investigating the shooting, which took place near the intersection of Teniente Rinaldi and Don Pedro de Mendoza.
