Gulshan does not want activists in Farooq’s vacant seat, said Bapparaj

Late actor Farooq was a Member of Parliament for Dhaka-17 Constituency. The actor’s death has left the parliamentary seat vacant. As a result, many people have started activities in Farooq’s place. Although actor Siddique had expressed his desire to contest this seat long ago, many stars from the showbiz world are already coming up with nominations for this seat.

As Omar Sani suggested the name of actor Ferdous. Again actress Anjana suggested Alamgir’s name. However, popular actor Bapparaj expressed a completely different opinion on these issues. He said in a post that many people are trying to take advantage of the election by using the emotions of the recently deceased hero.

The actor known as ‘Judge Barrister’ said this on his social handle on Sunday.

Bapparaj said, ‘Those who become mayors of Dhaka North are so efficient that they do not leave any work unfinished, which should be completed by an MP. Those who want to profit by cashing in on the emotions of a dead man can go off, Gulshan doesn’t want you.’

Farooq is one of the few artists who have gone straight from actor to politics in Bangladesh.

He became a Member of Parliament from Gulshan area of Dhaka from Bangladesh Awami League in 2018 election.

However, his colleagues feel that he is better known to people as hero Farooq. Actors and directors of the film say that Farooq, the hero of the role of a village protestant, was unrivaled and that was the main reason for his popularity.
