Gujarat Titans Dominate India’s Test Squad with 5 Players

The Indian cricket team is gearing up for their England tour, and the squad is a mix of experienced players and fresh faces. On May 24, the BCCI announced the 18-member team, with Shubman Gill as the new Test captain and Rishabh Pant as his deputy. The team includes emerging stars like Sai Sudarshan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Karun Nair is also making a comeback to the Test team after seven years.

As the IPL 2025 is currently underway, it’s interesting to note that five players from the Gujarat Titans have made it to the Indian squad. Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna will be representing the team in England. Sundar has only played five matches in the ongoing IPL, but the others are in top form.

The Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have three players each in the squad. KL Rahul might open for India, while Kuldeep Yadav and Karun Nair are also part of the team. Rishabh Pant, the new vice-captain, will be leading the charge for LSG, along with Aakash Deep and Shardul Thakur.

The Rajasthan Royals have two players in the squad, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel. The Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad have one player each in the team. Ravindra Jadeja (CSK), Nitish Kumar Reddy (SRH), Arshdeep Singh (PBKS), and none from MI have made the cut. Notably, the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders don’t have any players in the squad.
