Gujarat had bought the player by spending Rs 6 crore, they gave him a chance in just one match

So far in IPL Season 16, Gujarat Titans (GT) have been performing great on the pitch, in which the team has shown amazing performance in both bowling and batting. Fast bowler Shivam Mavi, who was a part of the Gujarat team this season, has yet to get a chance to play a single match for the team. During this season’s mini auction, Gujarat listed Shivam Mavi in ‚Äč‚Äčtheir team for Rs 6 crore.

When the Gujarat Titans team played Shivam Mavi his part, everyone expected him to lead the fast bowling attack for the team along with Mohammed Shami. However, this has not been seen to happen so far and the team has not given Shivam Mavi a chance to play in a single match. The teams from Chennai, Kolkata and Rajasthan also showed their interest during the auction to include Shivam in their team.

So far this season, Mohammed Shami has consistently been seen playing as the main fast bowler for Gujarat, in which he has been supported by Mohit Sharma, Joshua Little or Alzarri Joseph. But it can be expected that in the second half of the season, Shivam Mavi can be included in his place resting Shami for some matches.

Talking about Shivam Mavi’s career, he made his international cricket debut during the home series against Sri Lanka in January. So far Mavi has taken 6 wickets in 6 T20 Internationals at an average of 17.57, in which the economy rate of him is 8.78. At the same time, after playing 32 matches in the IPL, Shivam has taken a total of 30 wickets at an average of 31.40.
