Grupo SID grants scholarships of excellence and facilitates internships to UCATECI students

The company signs an agreement with the academy to -in addition to scholarships and internships- be the first sponsor of the innovative double degree Master’s Degree in Agribusiness and Sustainable Markets with the Tropical Agricultural Research and Teaching Center (CATIE) of Costa Rica.

The SID Group signed an agreement with the Catholic University of Cibao (UCATECI) to finance scholarships for students who are currently pursuing degrees at that academic institution and who, in turn, will have the opportunity to participate in the company’s internship programs.

The scholarships, which will be awarded by Induveca, SA, an industry that is part of the SID Group, are part of the commitment to education, under the EducaSID social responsibility program, of the business conglomerate that is currently celebrating 85 years of operations in the country.

The agreement was signed by the president of the SID Group, Ligia Bonetti, and the rector of the high house of studies, Reverend Father Sergio de la Cruz De los Santos, at the university’s headquarters in La Vega.

Under the terms of the agreement, hand in hand with UCATECI, Grupo SID will be the first sponsor of the innovative double degree Master’s Degree in Agribusiness and Sustainable Markets with the Tropical Agricultural Research and Teaching Center (CATIE) of Costa Rica.

“As part of our commitment to the well-being of Dominicans, Grupo SID seeks to support initiatives that are always in favor of education in our country, with the aim of training researchers, directors and managers of scientific and innovation processes. technology at the highest level, guaranteeing a decent education to the communities that require continuous support and promoting equal opportunities for access to education”, highlighted Bonetti.

For his part, the rector of Cruz De los Santos said that the university is focused on quality education in all aspects, with great strength in various disciplinary areas. “We thank you for the opportunity that more young people can obtain university education and have a more promising future,” he said.
