Grupo Muza Wins Telemundo’s Pase a la Fama, Secures HYBE Latin America Record Deal

The lights dimmed, the tension mounted, and then, a roar erupted. Muza, the rising stars of regional Mexican music, had done it. They claimed the grand prize in the first season of Telemundo’s reality show, Pase a la Fama. After 12 weeks of showcasing talent, hard work, and pure passion, this win wasn’t just a title; it was a launchpad. The group walked away with a cool $100,000 and a record deal with HYBE Latin America, kicking off what promises to be an exciting career.

The final night was truly unforgettable. Muza took the stage and delivered a flawless performance of “¡Qué Inocente!” This original song, crafted by the highly influential Latin composer Edgar Barrera, was the perfect ending. Their powerful delivery cemented Muza as the top act of the season, leaving competitors Destino and Jugada Maestra in their wake.

But this big win didn’t come easily. It’s a story woven with dreams, sacrifices, and a strong bond among the members. The day after their victory, the group stopped by the show Hoy Día. They were still buzzing with excitement. "Honestly, none of us could believe it," they chuckled, sharing hugs. "It was totally unexpected and incredibly special. We poured everything into our rehearsals each week. Seeing it pay off now fills us with so much pride."

The sextet is made up of Cynthia Ochoa, Rodo Blackmore, Oscar Campos, Gerardo Rodríguez, Yordi Blanco, and Ramiro Zuñiga. They all agreed that their instant chemistry was key to their success. From their very first practice, everything just clicked. "It all flowed magically. We had such a beautiful harmony as a band from the start," they shared. Their unique "norteño with sax" style helped them blend quickly and show their true selves on stage.

Their journey wasn’t without its bumps. During the interview, the group recalled the hardest times were when they faced elimination. "That was the worst part, thinking we could be sent home. I was in that spot twice, and it truly hurts to feel like you could lose everything. But in the end, thanks to luck and fate, we were put together as Muza, and here we are, so thankful," one member said with clear emotion.

The drive behind their adventure was always the same: the dream of making it big in music. "Since we were kids, we dreamed of playing on huge stages, of people listening to us. When this chance came, we said, ‘Let’s go for everything.’ Today, we can say we did it," they revealed to applause from the studio audience.

Pase a la Fama quickly became one of Telemundo’s most ambitious projects for 2025. It brought together an incredible panel of judges, including Ana Bárbara, Adriel Favela, and Horacio Palencia. Plus, there were superstar guest judges like Gabito Ballesteros, JOP from Fuerza Regida, Silvestre Dangond, Sergio Lizárraga from Banda MS, Calibre 50, Yahritza y Su Esencia, and Lupillo Rivera. Each week, contestants faced creative challenges, lived in an artistic development camp, and debuted original songs by famous composers. This demanding format hooked viewers from the very first episode.

Today, Muza celebrates more than just a trophy; they’re celebrating a brand new chapter. With a record deal in hand, an original song already turning heads, and the support of fans who voted for them, the group is set to be one of regional Mexican music’s most exciting acts in the coming years.

"This is just the beginning," the winners declared on Hoy Día. "We’re more motivated than ever and ready to share our music wherever people want to hear us. This win is for and because of everyone who believed in us."

There’s no doubt Muza’s journey is just starting. But it’s built on a strong foundation: talent, discipline, and a heart full of music.
