Grizzlies Fall to Spurs as Santi Aldama Achieves Triple Double

De’aaron Fox pulled off an incredible shot with 1.8 seconds left, essentially stealing the win from the Grizzlies, who had Santi Aldama shining bright once again. Aldama was just shy of a triple-double, with 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 11 assists, but it wasn’t enough to secure the victory. He expressed his frustration, saying, “We have no energy. It’s clear that it’s not. We can’t play that way. We’re not that team that needs a little luck. Normally, we set the tone, and we haven’t been doing it.”

The Spurs, who had suffered four consecutive losses, managed to pick up their second win in six meetings since Victor Wembanyama was declared out for the season. Fox, along with Stephon Castle and Devin Vassell, led the team to victory with 20 points and 7 assists, 24 points and 7 assists, and 20 points and 6 rebounds, respectively. On the other hand, the Grizzlies, without Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, struggled to find their rhythm, despite Jaren Jackson Jr.’s impressive 42 points.

Sixers 126 – Warriors 119

The Sixers, who have had a disastrous season, finally broke their streak of nine consecutive losses, thanks to the outstanding performance of Grimes, who set a new personal record with 44 points and 6 rebounds. This win was especially significant, considering it was their first game since the announcement that Joel Embiid would not play for the remainder of the season due to his left knee issues. The Warriors, who had been on a hot streak with five consecutive wins, were led by Stephen Curry, who scored 29 points and 13 assists, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.

Mavericks 117 – Bucks 132

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard were the driving forces behind the Bucks’ victory, with 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists, and 28 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, respectively. The Bucks have now won six of their last seven games, and their performance in the second and third quarters was particularly impressive, outscoring the Mavericks 27-40 and 16-30. Kyrie Irving’s 31 points weren’t enough to prevent the Mavericks’ defeat, who now have a 6-6 balance since Luka Doncic was transferred to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Pistons 115 – Nets 94

The Pistons bounced back from their loss to Denver on Friday, defeating the Nets and securing their ninth win in the last ten games. Jalen Duran contributed 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 blocks, while Tobias Harris and Malik Beasley each added 18 points. The Nets, who have lost their last four games, were led by Tyrese Martin, who scored 23 points. The team is currently trained by the Spanish coach Jordi Fernández.

Rockets 103 – Kings 113

Despite Sabonis Domantas being forced to retire due to a hamstring injury after just one minute of play, the Kings managed to secure an important victory at home. De’Aaron Fox and Zach Lavine led the team with 21 points and 6 assists, and 20 points and 6 rebounds, respectively. The Kings have now defeated their opponents in their last three games and six of the last eight. Alperen Sengun was the standout player for the Rockets, with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. In the remaining game of the day, the Washington Wizards beat the Charlotte Hornets 100-113.
