Grita Gol Foundation announces second charity championship

The Fundación Grita Gol, a non-profit entity, has announced the celebration of the 2nd. Copa Grita Gol, a championship that will measure soccer players with fewer resources from the National District, South Region, North Region and East of the Dominican Republic.

More than 250 athletes in the sub-13 category and in mixed modality will be benefiting from the soccer tournament, which is endorsed by the Dominican Soccer Federation (FEDOFUTBOL) and the support of the National Soccer Commissioner, Benny Metz, in order to enhance the sport that these children and young people have chosen.

Juan María Lehoux, 18, president of the foundation, is the ideologue of this initiative and indicated among the purposes of Fundafútbol to help the most needy soccer fans, promote sports and cover sports needs around sports throughout the DR.

Under the technical direction of Pascasio Mendoza, the tournament will be played by regional circuits, and the first stop will be held at Sintética de La Salle on Saturday, June 25, where the clubs will be measured: Club Nueva Juventud, ECO, Adecea and FC Cristo Rey. Day number two will take place on Sunday, June 26, in Proyecto CAR, corresponding to the South Region, and the clubs will face each other: Escuela HH de Azua, Liga de Fútbol de Azua, Villanos de San Cristóbal and 5 de Abril de San Cristóbal.

The next two days will be held on July 2 at Colegio Don Bosco, Moca, Espaillat province, to determine the winner of the North Region between Escuela Don Bosco, Deportistas FC de Moca, Nueva Luz FC de Nagua and Palma Real FC de Bonao, and the July 9 will be the winner of the Eastern Region at the Luguelin Sánchez stadium in Bayaguana, where La Romana FC, Peralta FC in the eastern zone of SD, Deportivo San Pedro and Bayaguana FC will meet.

Then the winners will compete for the trophy for the 2nd. Shout Gol Cup, on August 6 at the Carol Morgan School in Santo Domingo. All the days will take place from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and all clubs and soccer fans are invited to attend each of the games.
