Great statement in praise of R Ashwin, Denier Vettori said this Indian spinner specialty

Former New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori believes that R Ashwin will do well in the T20 World Cup as he has the ability to adapt to any situation. Vettori also said that Ashwin has played cricket in Australia before so his experience will help him.

Former New Zealand captain Vettori said: ‘We all know Ashwin has been brilliant in testing. The best thing is that he is coming up with a great performance in the IPL and he has been included in the India T20 team. He is one of those players who adapt very quickly to situations. He understands what to do in what situations. I think he will do better if he stays in the 11th game. He has already toured Australia.

Vettori said that Ravindra Jadeja is injured so Ashwin can hold his own in game 11 as a spin bowling all-rounder in the upcoming T20 World Cup. He also said that India has no shortage of spin bowlers. The good thing is that most spinners also hit well. This gives a good balance to the team.

Spin bowlers aren’t as effective on Australia’s fast, bouncy courses and India has the likes of Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal and Axar Patel for the ICC tournament in October-November. On this, Vettori says: ‘The most important thing to achieve success as a spinner in Australia is to play topspin bowling. The spinners will have to throw more topspin and get rebounds the same way Nathan Lyon does for the home team.
