Actor Shiney Ahuja accused of rape has received a major relief from the Bombay High Court. The court has ordered India’s passport authority not to stop Shiney Ahuja’s passport renewal. Shiney Ahuja, who has appeared in many films including Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Lamhe and Gangster: A Love Story, is accused of raping her maid. In this regard, on March 30, 2011, a hearing court in Mumbai sentenced Shiney Ahuja to seven years in prison under IPC Section 376. At the same time, Ahuja challenged the hearing court’s decision in the Bombay High Court. He was subsequently granted bail on April 27, 2011.
