Nominations for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards have been announced. Many names have come up for this, but the popular Hollywood singer Beyoncé is in the lead with 9 nominations. Other than these, Kendrick Lamar has 8 nominations, Adele and Brandi Carlile have 7 nominations. According to Variety’s report, 4 contenders entered the race with 6 nominations, including Future, Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige, DJ Khaled, and Randy Merrill.
According to Variety, the nominations overall were largely anticipated. Beyonce, Adele, Styles, Lamar and Lijo were the five contenders who were nominated in the top three categories for album, song or record.
Among the top artists in the main categories were Mary J. Blige and ABBA, who were nominated for Record of the Year and Album of the Year, but not for Song of the Year. For Blige, it’s been 16 years since she last recorded and recorded an album.
If Variety is to be believed, this hasn’t been a landmark year for country music in the nominations. Not a single desi artist has made it to the four main normal categories. The list of artists competing in the three main categories includes Taylor Swift, ‘All Too Well, Doja Cat, Coldplay, DJ Khaled, Gayle Bonnie Raitt.
We tell you that this time the Grammy Awards will be organized in Los Angeles on February 5 of next year. The 65th Grammy Awards will be hosted by famed comedian Trevor Noah, who has also hosted the past two times.
