Graeme Smith considers these 2 players as the X factor for the India team, not Kohli-Rohit

Recently, the India-South Africa T20 series ended in a 2-2 draw. This series was seen as a preparation for the T20 World Cup 2022. Many Indian players performed brilliantly in the series while some seemed weak. In such a situation, there is now speculation as to which players from this series can get a place in the World Cup squad. Former South Africa captain Graeme Smith, who came to India for this series, picked two unbeatable players from the Indian team on Tuesday.

Speaking to Cricket.com, Smith picked Hardik and Karthik as the two unbeatable players for the T20 World Cup. He said: “There is still a lot of cricket to be played so it is difficult to predict what will happen in the next few months, but you think Hardik and Karthik are integral parts of that team. Karthik is playing the finisher role well. At the same time, he continues Pandya’s excellent overall performance. In such a situation, I think both players can make a place for themselves in the World Cup squad.

In the South Africa series, Hardik Pandya scored 117 runs in 4 innings with a strike rate of 153.9. He also bowled five overs in the series, although he remained wicketless. Karthik, on the other hand, scored 92 runs in four innings with an impressive 158.6 strike rate, which included half a century. Also at IPL 2022, the performance of both players was excellent. While Pandya made Gujarat champions under his captaincy, Karthik played the role of RCB finisher.
