Government Supports Replacement of Traditional Taxis with Electric Ones Nationwide

The government is giving taxi companies a million euros to go green. They want to get rid of old gas-guzzling cabs and replace them with electric ones. This move is part of a bigger plan to make the country’s transportation system cleaner and more modern.

How it works

The government will give taxi companies money to buy electric cars and install charging stations. They’ll also help them switch to digital systems, like electronic meters and receipt printers.

For electric cars, the government will pay:

  • 5,000 euros for each car bought
  • 6,000 euros for each old car (over 10 years old) that’s replaced
  • Up to 750 euros for charging equipment

For digital systems, the government will pay:

  • Half of the cost, up to 5,000 euros, for things like electronic meters and receipt printers

The government is giving extra money to companies that operate in areas with fewer people and less public transportation. They want to make sure everyone has access to clean and reliable transportation, no matter where they live.

This plan is part of the government’s promise to speed up the transition to cleaner energy, encourage new technologies, and improve services for people all over the country.
