Nigeria and Ghana trade
The two markets visited show a significant growth trend in their commercial exchange in the last five years.
ProDominicana highlighted that Nigeria imported a total of US$60,000 million in the year 2022, while Ghana imported some US$18,000 million. This with the particular characteristic of an almost non-existent participation in exchange with the Caribbean region, despite the existing opportunities, in dynamic and growing markets, with which market penetration can be promoted at a regional or multi-destination level.
Both markets receive investment flows similar to those of the Dominican Republic, in terms of their amount.
“ProDominicana has marked a before and after in the international promotion events that it promotes, not only in quantity, but also in quality, dimensioning and, above all, reaching those countries where we are not reaching, but the potential is evident. We continue in the effective implementation of the National Plan for the Promotion of Exports, an unwavering commitment” added the deputy director general of the institution.
