Google’s attempt to mess with Apple didn’t go as expected

If you’re a smartphone maker and you want to mess with Apple, you should at least make sure you’re not doing it from an iPhone.

That’s exactly what happened to the Google Pixel team on Twitter on Wednesday. Google Pixel account tried to make fun of Apple CEO Tim Cook but it backfired, since they posted their tweet from an iPhone.

Cook tweeted a promotional video that hinted at an Apple ad with the tagline “Take Note” in the video and a hashtag #TakeNote alongside the message: “The possibilities are endless.”

Google Pixel responded to Cook’s tweet saying “Hmmmm Okay, I’ll see you”, with the same hashtag, #TakeNote, that Cook used and has been used by the NBA’s Utah Jazz team on Twitter. Problem is, he sent this tweet from an iPhone.

The tweet was deleted and sent again, this time from the Twitter web app.
