Google is testing a new feature called Audio Overviews. It turns search results into podcasts.
This feature uses Gemini.
You can try it out by going to Search Labs.
Here’s how it works. Let’s say you search for “how do noise-cancelling headphones work”.
Google shows a button that says “Generate Audio Overview”.
When you click it, the feature creates a podcast summary in about 40 seconds.
The podcast comes with a play button. You can pause, stop, and adjust the speed.
There’s also an AI-host that talks about the topic you searched for.
The source of the content is shown below the play button.
This feature is only available in English and only in the US.
