Google returns to normal after crashing around the world

The main services (Google, Gmail, YouTube and the cloud storage service) have registered a temporary drop around the world this Monday, according to the Downdetector website, which specializes in tracking system failures. The first access problems have been registered on YouTube, which have continued in Gmail, Play Store and Google Meet. An hour later, it seems that the services of the search engine giant are beginning to return to normal.

At 3:30 AM PST, Down Detector has started recording the first failure reports in Google systems. As can be seen on the map, the main problems are occurring in the Old Continent, since the fall in services has occurred in the middle of the working day.

From the browser of any terminal it is impossible for users to access services such as Gmail or YouTube, which give an error 500 in response and peaks of complaints have been detected in Europe and the US.

Exactly the same has happened on mobile. They have not been able to search through the Google assistant or try to find applications on Google Play to install them. Pending an official statement, the YouTube account on Twitter has confirmed the problems on its platform.

However and despite the fall of the service, the ads on the Google video platform continued to be shown. At the moment, it is not known what has caused the problem.
