The North American technology company must present new products for the home during the Google I/O 2022 annual conference. According to rumors, we will have a new generation of multimedia centers Google Nest Hub with a new hybrid format.
Latest reports say this big-screen smart speaker could work separately. In other words, we can take the screen, the part that we normally associate with a tablet to use it as such and take advantage of the large screen of this product for the home.
The next generation will bring surprises to the Google Nest Hub
The second generation of Google Nest Hub speakers was introduced last year, in mid-2021 with prices starting at €99. However, the most expensive speaker, the Nest Hub Max, has a recommended retail price of $229, with direct conversion to euros, but it is already an older product, introduced in 2019.
That said, the research giant will be preparing a new generation of this Max version, ideal for video calls thanks to the large 10-inch screen attached (and fixed) to the base that unfolds as a speaker. It is a somewhat conventional product for smart home control, the smart House and related IoT devices.
The next generation, still in development, will bring more home control options and features to the product and its display. According to rumours, with a strong punch up or down will reveal more items through the smart screen.
Nest Hub Max 2022 may bring more features associated with Chrome OS
We also have a browser with more capabilities, possibly bridging the gap between the IoT world and the Chrome OS system, to be accompanied by a boost to the hardware, processor, and cameras of the upcoming Nest Hub Max.
Finally, there is still no confirmed presentation date for this product, although the Google I/O 2022 conference is the most likely stage for its presentation. Unfortunately, Portugal must remain excluded from Google’s list of smart products.
Google’s ecosystem of speakers and smart home products is one of the most complete and captivating. Would it be too much to ask that they also arrive in Portugal?
