Google Play Store surprises with a new look in blue tones

Google has made one of the most significant changes in its official store of applications and content for Android, the Google Play Store, a platform that is now renewed with a new color accent. When you open the app, you’ll surely notice the new blue buttons.

This change results, above all, from the application of Dynamic Themes or Dynamic Color to this platform, as we can already find and observe in most of the search giant’s services and apps. Changes are distributed through server sideby the American entity itself.

There are new colors to explore in the Google Play Store

Until now, the Google Play Store only displayed some indications of Dynamic Themes in the search fields (app search bar) as well as in the bottom bar.

There, depending on the predominant colors of the theme chosen by the user on their mobile device, the operating system would automatically match some of those colors to the accent tones in the Play Store.

Looking ahead to the new update, and after the last big update in April that introduced a more compact search bar. Therefore, the practical expression of Dynamic Themes has been reduced in the Play Store.

Shades of blue “invaded” the Google Play Store

By the way, it wasn’t applied to app listings in search results, nor on the “Manage apps and devices” page, which is now changing. In these fields, the Store continued to feature the predominant shades of green in the Accent colors.

However, since midweek ended, the Google Play Store has shown significant changes to the accent colors. The most noticeable will be the Install/Update or Remove button of an app through its listing in the store.

The update replaces the previous implementation of Dynamic Themes in key highlights, with green being permanently replaced with different types of blue. By the way, this is the most common shade currently appearing at various points in the user interface.

In any case, it’s entirely possible that the new dominance of blue is only temporary. Also, the update is currently ongoing and has already reached the resident smartphones.
