Google smartphones have always struggled to prevent information leaks months before their presentation. In an attempt to break this pattern, the company itself decided to reveal the design of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro at the Google I/O event.
However, this unprecedented move by Google didn’t stop a prototype of its next smartphone from recently appearing on eBay. For a brief moment, the next Google Pixel 7 could be seen in real images.

Google Pixel 7 makes an unusual appearance on eBay
Google’s next top of the range was put up for sale on eBay for €417, well below what Google usually asks for a copy. However, that list was quickly removed before anyone could make a request for this prototype.
As always, once on the internet, always on the internet. Despite the speed in removing this Pixel 7, they did not do it without someone noticing their presence and deciding to share the published photos.
In fact, it was a functional prototype, in black, with 128 GB of internal memory. The product design corresponds to the images published in Google I/O, so there is no mystery to be solved here regarding the aesthetics of this device.

We have a screen with very small edges and a hole in the center to house the front camera of the Pixel 7. On the back we see the glass as the predominant construction material and the characteristic horizontal module for its double rear camera.
It is very curious to note, through the reflection of the back of the Pixel 7, that the images were captured with a prototype of the Pixel 7 Pro. That is, whoever published this prototype on eBay had access to the next two Google tops.

This event reminds us of the unusual appearance of a prototype of the Pixel Watch in a restaurant before its presentation. In both cases, the question arises if these appearances were occasional or if there was any intention in their occurrence.
In both cases, we are only theorizing when the facts show that Google’s next products are in an advanced stage of development. However, its official presentation will only take place in October.
